Recorded wartime service
Commandeered by the Ministry of War Transport, Tahilla took part in Operation Dynamo. Enemy fire damaged her steering and she was abandoned, then found drifting and towed back. She remained in Admiralty ownership until 1948, serving first on harbour patrol and later on pilotage duties.
