Recorded wartime service
Regal Lady assisted in the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940. She was then chartered and compulsorily acquired by the Ministry of Defence as a fleet tender at Greenock, helping transport thousands of US troops from the liners Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.
